Description

The Programme P.I.P.P.I. – Programma di Intervento Per la Prevenzione dell’Istituzionalizzazione, is the result of a collaboration between the Ministero del lavoro e delle Politiche Sociali, and the Laboratorio di Ricerca e Intervento in Educazione Familiare dell’Università di Padova. Funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU, the project aims at preventing risk situations for vulnerable families reported by Social Services.

Objectives

The project was created with the aim of increasing the quality of children’s development through dedicated and shared activities between adults and children, proposed after a needs analysis. The project aims at the creation of a social network to enable support during daily life for families with children in socially disadvantaged situations.

Specifically, the activities (intervention devices) are aimed at:

  1. create meeting groups between parents and children through the intervention of psychologists and educators (parent and child groups)
  2. support the community through solidarity support between social services, schools, families, local cultural realities (solidarity proximity);
  3. bring families together for the creation of new communities (supportive families);
  4. proposing cultural activities (cultural activity packages).

The role of Explora

In Rome, the area where the museum is located, the project is implemented by Explora in partnership with Cooperativa Sociale Le Mille e Una Notte (lead partner), Cooperativa Sociale F.A.I Famiglie – Anziani – Infanzia and Cooperativa Sociale San Saturnino.
Explora deals with proposals of cultural activities, designed to stimulate cultural stimulation in order to fill educational gaps within the families of the Municipio I, II and III.
