MISSIONE ME

Interactive displays to explore the human body.

HOW TO PLAY

permanent exhibit of the Museum, for free use during all visits.

The exhibit

Did you know that the skin is the largest organ in our body? And that the human body is supported by more than 200 bones? Mission Me is the exhibition consisting of 5 stations dedicated to the human body.

Flesh and bone: to observe what happens to our skeletal system during a ride.

Many beats: to listen to the heart and delve into the circulatory system between veins, arteries, blood vessels and capillaries.

Look inside yourself: three mirrored walls to learn about the difference between systems and apparatuses by investigating the human body.

The journey of food: the maze station to play and discover, thanks to a ball, the path of food between the various internal organs.

Invisible enemies: the interactive panel dedicated to bacteria and viruses. Frame the images and play with augmented reality thanks to the app Missione Me.

The Missione Me exhibition presents some of the apparatuses and systems of the human body. Through a hands-on approach, based on play and sensory stimuli, boys and girls play with the digestive and circulatory system and discover the skeletal and nervous system..

Exploring in AR – Human Body and Augmented Reality is a project that has allowed, in addition to the creation of the interactive exhibit, the realization of a training course for teachers and educators and Missione Me, the set of fifty playing cards designed to explore the various systems, organs and apparatuses of the human body in 3D, accompanied by short audio descriptions and transformed into visible ones thanks to the free app of the same name that exploits Augmented Reality through virtual models to observe. The Mission Me playing cards are available free of charge in PDF format, to download and print at home, or can be purchased at Explora bookshop.

Realised thanks to the annual grants and programme agreements – Mur, for the development of research and experimentation of methodologies for an effective teaching of science and history of science.
