ELT’S SECOND LIFE
To discover the ELT recycle
how to play
Elt’s second life is a permanent exhibit of the Museum, for free use during all visits.
We live in a society where cars, scooters and vehicles are fundamental for our lives: what happens to all their tires once they have lost their safe and efficient features? We live in a society where cars, scooters and vehicles are fundamental for our lives: what happens to all their tires once they have lost their safe and efficient features? How can we outride the idea of worn-out waste and transform the unused material in something that can live again as a precious and useful object?
The exhibit has been developed in collaboration with Ecopneus, the consortium for the identification, tracing, collection, treatment and final destination of worn-out tires (ELT). It allows the children to discover and understand why the special treatment of certain waste is.
The ELT’s Second Life invites children, and their parents, teachers and friends, to retrace this path, through an active and participatory approach, having fun and looking closely at the steps and the transformations of the materials. Through this exhibit they can better understand the impact of our actions on the environment: in this way the exhibit supports the awareness of our environmental responsibility.
