How old is 25?

Twenty-five years after it first opened, on Saturday 9 May, Explora is celebrating with the very heart of its identity: its visitors.

Girls, boys, schools and families are invited to take part in this event, which offers reduced-price admission of €9 and a range of dedicated activities and workshops.

Throughout the day, in the pavilion at 10.00, 12.00, 15.00 and 17.00 and in the outdoor area on a continuous basis from 11.00 to 18.00, all activities will focus on the key themes that have defined the museum over its first 25 years.

Energy, smiles, science, questions and encounters represent the elements of a dynamic cultural experience, founded on active participation.

At the children’s museum, every visitor takes centre stage: Explora sets things in motion, celebrating 25 years of energy; invites play, generating 25 years of smiles; it stimulates experimentation, fuelling 25 years of wonder; it encourages creativity, through 25 years of hands-on activities; it opens the door to discovery, with 25 years of science; it encourages critical thinking, with 25 years of questions; and it promotes sharing, building 25 years of encounters.

A constantly evolving reality, reflecting the museum’s mission as a living space for learning, connection and growth.
