Description

The Skill-ed project was created to facilitate participation in learning opportunities in Europe, necessary for the development and innovativeness of the museum.

The project is part of the KA1 action key of the Erasmus + programme, financed by the European Union, and is aimed at the mobility and individual training of the organisation’s staff.

Objectives

This project aims to positively influence the quality and innovativeness of the proposed activities in the educational and digital field. The training experiences have been selected within 5 areas: English language, digital, STEM, sustainability education, working climate and the objectives are defined by giving preference to mobility of staff with fewer opportunities or no previous experience.

In the short term, these mobilities and more than 600 hours of planned training will enable the organisation to develop more innovative activities in terms of digital, methodologies, adult and visitor education strategies and

of the working climate. In the medium term, this project will positively influence the European positioning of the organisation, the digital development with the creation of new digital activities, the design of new educational strategies and activities.

Explora’s activities

The project will see the departure of 19 people who will be trained through courses and job shadowing activities in various European organisations.

The training of Explora’s museum staff through the Erasmus+ programme represents a valuable opportunity for professional updating and intercultural exchange. This kind of training allows staff to acquire innovative skills and to deal with new practices in the field of museum management, conservation, and cultural communication. The aim is to enrich knowledge and improve interaction with the public, promoting inclusion and accessibility.

Skill-ed training will involve organisations and institutions from Ireland, Spain, Germany, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Austria, Portugal, Cyprus, promoting the exchange of good practices with colleagues from other countries. Sharing experiences and innovative ideas helps to create international collaborative networks, enriching the perspective of participants and increasing the quality of the cultural offer upon return.
