Description

Explora is also included in the list of companies reported in Det. no. G14617 of 05/11/2024 published in the Lazio Regional Official Gazette no. 93 of 19/11/2024 (Date of Grant), in which the Director of the Regional Department for Culture, Youth and Family Policies, Equal Opportunities and Civil Service approved the lists of eligible, consistent and fundable projects and the related non-repayable grants.

Thanks to the P.A.R.I. (Equality, Accessibility, Respect, Inclusion) project, the application for funding to obtain UNI/Pdr 125:2022 certification, identified by the number A0812-2024-086195, has been approved and is eligible for funding.

The Museo dei Bambini Società Cooperativa Sociale, a women-led cooperative, manages ‘Explora il Museo dei Bambini di Roma’, a permanent facility dedicated to children (aged 0-12), schools and families, a child-friendly museum where play is a learning tool.
Explora encourages children, teachers and accompanying adults to enjoy an informal and innovative learning experience with a strong focus on play and easy, immediate access to content.

The cooperative operates with EN ISO 9001:2015 quality certification for the ‘Design and provision of recreational and educational activities for children aged 0 to 12’ (EA39) and for the Design and
provision of training services (EA37), Certificate No. IQ-0607-01 issued by Dasa-Rägister.

UNI PdR 125:2022 is the certification established by the Italian National Unification Body (UNI) that guarantees gender equality and inclusion in the workplace. This standard helps companies implement practices that guarantee equal opportunities, respect and appreciation of individual differences, actively contributing to the fight against gender discrimination.
In this context, MUSEO DEI BAMBINI S.C.S. has decided to commit to this process for the social benefits it brings to its employees, such as loyalty and improved overall well-being at work.

In particular, our cooperative’s commitment is inspired by the European Union’s Strategy for Gender Equality 2020-2025 and aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • increasing women’s participation in the labour market;
  • reducing the pay and pension gap between men and women, also to combat
  • female poverty;
  • promoting gender equality in decision-making;
  • combating stereotypes and gender-based violence and protecting and supporting victims;
  • conducting an educational mission for girls and boys aimed at
  • preventing and dismantling all forms of gender-based prejudice.

The cooperative has begun the certification process for Gender Equality, which will be completed between September and October 2024.
