Schools closed for the Easter holidays?
Give the gift of a special experience! From Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th April, Explora, the Children’s Museum in Rome, opens its doors to an adventure full of fun and discovery.
In a stimulating and interactive environment, children can explore 2,000 square metres of installations dedicated to Science, New Technologies, Environmental Sustainability, Gender Equality, Art and Research.
A unique opportunity to learn through play, spark curiosity and experience moments of growth and sharing with the family.
Make Easter even more special with an educational and engaging experience in the heart of Rome!
Activities
In addition to free play in the museum, there are two activities for children, available during all visiting times. Two creative workshops to celebrate Easter and the arrival of spring: a fun experience to stimulate the imagination, develop manual skills and take home a special memory of the visit to the museum.
Magnetic Chicks | 3-5 years
An Easter egg or a cute chick? In this activity, children can create original Easter chicks using lots of different coloured shapes. Once completed, they can turn their creations into magnets to attach to any metal surface. A sweet reminder of the creative day spent at the museum!
Magician’s Thaumatrope | 6-11 years
Do you know what a thaumatrope is? It’s an ancient optical toy that, with a simple rotation, creates an illusion in which two images merge into one. In this workshop, children can make their own thaumatrope with Easter and spring-themed designs, thus discovering a fascinating illusion trick.
