The event
On Saturday 7 June, the Kids Energy Festival event returns to the green area of Explora.
A fun day with activities and workshops dedicated to movement, designed for children aged 3 and above.
After last year’s great success, the event, which is free to enter, offers experiences dedicated to combining physical activity and creativity, encouraging discovery.
The workshops
In the museum’s green area, from 11:00 to 18:00, you can take part in lots of creative and physical activities designed for children aged 3 to 7.
To participate, you must register using the Eventbrite form, choosing between two time slots:
- Morning (from 11:00 to 14:00)
- Afternoon (from 14:30 to 18:00).
The ticket allows you to participate freely in the activities offered during the chosen time slot.
Colours spin, bodies create! – ages 3 and up
A fun experience with spin art to discover how body movement can be transformed into unique, energetic works of art.
Steps in motion – ages 3 and up
A dynamic workshop where movement becomes play: jumping, running and riding to challenge each other… step by step.
Let’s bring movement to life – ages 3 and up
A hands-on workshop to explore movement, speed and the basics of analogue animation through the use of a zoetrope and the construction of a thaumatrope.
Movement Activities
Motor activities for children aimed at having fun and discovering movement through games with peers or parents, organised by sports coach Luca Vidau.
Treasure hunt… in the human body! – ages 3
A challenge dedicated to the human body and movement: an adventure through muscles, bones and joints to discover how our body works when it moves.
All you need is a connected device to start the challenge and find all the QR codes hidden in the green area that lead to interesting questions about the human body.
Snacks are provided by Centrale del Latte di Roma.
The project
The Kids Energy Festival event is made possible thanks to Storie In Movimento: lotta alla povertà educativa in età prescolare (Stories in Motion: fighting educational poverty in preschool children), a project created to promote healthy motor and nutritional development in preschool children through initiatives involving teachers, families and institutions.
The project is funded by Con i Bambini and the Fondazione Cariverona, coordinated by the Pleiadi group. The activities are carried out according to an innovative and evidence-based approach and organised by teachers guided and trained by researchers from the Centre for Research on Motor Development in Childhood at the University of Verona and by third sector operators specialised in innovative teaching approaches.
