The event
Saturday, 10 May, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., scheduled in the Explora bookshop, there will be a free admission animated reading of Filodora nel Borgo delle arti, the book by Dalila Lazzarini, published by Gagio Edizioni.
Together with the author, children will discover Filodora’s story and the illustrations that make the book a collection of fairy tales set in dreamlike and surreal worlds.
‘As the sun sets on a windy November day, Filodora, inspired by the colours of the sunset, decides to sew a rag doll that looks like her. Amidst pieces of coloured fabric, needle and thread, she is interrupted by the unexpected visit of Moderno, a boy who urgently needs her help. In no time at all, Filodora finds herself suspended in a magical corner of the starry sky, thanks to the appearance of Coccanonna. Through a spell, the spool Phil comes to life and soon becomes her inseparable travelling companion on her journey to the Village of the Arts. There, an evil being is imprisoning the dreams of the inhabitants inside large soap bubbles.”
The event is part of Kid Pass Days, the major event organised by KID PASS every year. Designed to promote cultural accessibility, the event is dedicated to reading that goes beyond entertainment. Through narration, sounds and images, the stories in the book come to life, allowing children to immerse themselves in enchanted worlds, reach dreamlike places and be carried away by the magic of words. This event is designed to give everyone the chance to dream, breaking down barriers and creating an inclusive experience, so that every child can experience the excitement of storytelling. Because imagination has no boundaries, and every story can be a door open to infinity.
