The event
On Sunday, 28 September, Explora will host the Festival dei 5 Colori (Festival of Five Colours), an event promoted by the Fondazione Pancrazio, which aims to raise awareness of healthy and proper nutrition and promote the Mediterranean diet through a series of activities aimed at children, their families and all citizens.
During the 10:00, 12:00, 15:00 and 17:00 sessions, children can participate in themed workshops offered by the Pancrazio Foundation.
Superheroes, fun activities and educational courses become tools for learning together, enjoying positive experiences and building, step by step, a more conscious and colourful future.
The food education workshops, discovering the five superheroes Cric, Scudo, Luce, Alma and Memo, are divided by age: families, friends and grandparents can also participate alongside the children… to learn while having fun!
The science, energy and sustainability workshops are organised in collaboration with Enea and offer an experience dedicated to the challenges of the future and environmental protection.
During the day, adults can also take advantage of the Free Screening Day for all-round wellbeing, designed to offer a first level of clinical monitoring, information and personalised guidance on nutrition, dermatology, gynaecology, diabetology and cardiology.
Between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., there will also be a talk moderated by Giuseppe Stefano Morino and Perla Boccaccini with guests such as Aurora Caporossi, Iris Zani, Eleonora Abbagnato, and Federico Balzaretti in the museum bookshop.
Il festival
Explora is one of the three Roman venues for the Festival of Five Colours. Alongside the children’s museum, the Foro Italico and the Auditorium Parco della Musica are also involved.
In addition to the event on 28 September dedicated to families visiting the Explora museum, the Festival will continue until 3 October with an intense week entirely dedicated to the five colours of well-being. A lively and varied calendar will involve local primary schools in creative activities and workshops, promoting learning through play and direct experience. There will also be opportunities for in-depth discussions with experts, such as Paolo Crepet, on the themes of education, personal growth and everyday wellbeing. Finally, the week will be enriched with healthy entertainment events, with dance and music performances that will make the atmosphere even more engaging and participatory.
Fondazione Pancrazio
Pancrazio has been actively working for years to promote healthy eating and a balanced lifestyle, taking a leading role in the fight against childhood obesity.
It is currently present in 500 schools across seven Italian regions and is expanding at European level.
Alongside its educational activities, Pancrazio constantly invests in scientific and social research in order to monitor the impact of its interventions, analyse eating behaviours in different age groups and identify increasingly effective prevention strategies.
