The event
On Sunday 24th March, SHORE: Let’s discover the sea and its protection, an event to involve children and adults in activities to raise awareness on the protection of the marine environment. The event, funded by the European Union through the SHORE project, is proposed on the occasion of World Water Day.

Many activities with free admission are offered in the museum bookshop and in the green area.
Activities in the bookshop
The event will start at 4 p.m. with the animated reading of Iole. The word-eating whale, written by Gioia Marchegiani. Followed by a creative workshop, the animated reading invites girls and boys to discover the story of Iole, a very special whale who feeds on poems, encouraging children to protect the marine environment.
From age 4. The activity must be booked in advance. Bookings open from 18/03 via Eventbrite.
Activities in the outdoor area
Free activities from 10.30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Small actions to protect our oceans – 3-5 years: activity organised by Explora to learn, with the help of small robots, how to protect the nature around us;
- A Sea of Fish – 3-5 years: creative workshop with moving type;
- Gocce di Mare – from age 3: activity organised by Explora to play at creating a seascape using spin-bikes.
Photography and video filming are planned during the activities.
