A special day with free admission to celebrate World Children’s Day, which is celebrated worldwide on 20 November to commemorate the day on which the United Nations General Assembly adopted the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989. One hundred and ninety countries around the world take part in the Day, bringing together the principles of equal rights and living conditions for children. Explora celebrates together with girls, boys and families, dedicating a free access day.
Every year Explora celebrates the ‘World Childhood and Adolescence Day’ recognising the fundamental rights of children in the Convention: forty-two articles that talk about the right to play, health, identity and protection. Rights that Explora is committed to respect through its mission and its work, but also to remember and share with its public. The articles of the convention are indeed mentioned in the paintings of the Liberty exhibition displayed in the hall and in the garden, and in the panels that flank the ramp of the exhibition hall, recently translated also into Braille.
