Teaching activities for learning science subjects

information

Project duration: November 2023 – November 2024

Grants: € 12.766

Description

Little STEM is a project implemented with Otto per Mille funds from the Waldensian Church (Union of Methodist and Waldensian Churches) that proposes teaching activities for the learning of scientific subjects and the development of transversal skills to pupils in pre-school, contributing to overcoming the conditions of educational poverty in a suburb of Rome.

Objectives

The project aims to support science education and learning in STEM subjects: the approach to these subjects fosters the development of critical thinking and scientific reasoning through observation, design and experimentation with laboratory and cooperative methods.

The activities dedicated to STEM aim to innovate teaching and encourage the continuation of classroom activities by offering fun, stimulating and innovative educational and playful experiences.

The approach to STEM improves the cognitive, emotional and relational skills of the children involved, supporting a process of inclusion, growth and group participation.
