The right to education

Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all (SDG #4)

informations

Duration: December 2023-March 2024

Grant: € 21,000

Description

The project Diritto all’Istruzione (Right to Education) was created thanks to the public notice aimed at allocating grants to cultural services included in the regional organisations O.B.R., O.M.R. and O.A.R. for the year 2023 for activities and modernisation.

The project is developed through

  • educational activities with free access for children and teachers visiting Explora with their school or family;
  • production of information materials and in-depth studies designed to improve accessibility.

Objectives

The project was created to promote education as an agent of social inclusion through educational activities aimed at children, schools and families.
Specifically, the activities are proposed on the occasion of International Education Day, recognised by the UN and celebrated every year on 24 January.
The day is intended to emphasise the importance of the right to education enshrined in Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, reinforced by Goal 4 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which reaffirms the value of “ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all”.

Explora’s activities

The activities proposed by Explora aim at enhancing informal learning based on the experiential, expressive, relational and cultural level.

Events for schools

From 24 to 26 January 2024, more than 500 pupils will have free access to the museum’s activities through workshops and routes dedicated to food, science, renewable energy and the circular economy.
