The event<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On Sunday, September 21, Explora, Rome’s Children’s Museum, will once again host the European Day of Languages<\/strong>, promoted by the European Commission in Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., admission to Explora will be free, with many creative workshops led by cultural institutes, embassies, and associations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This day, established by the Council of Europe in 2001 and celebrated every year across the continent, is an opportunity to promote the cultural and linguistic heritage of the continent, to raise awareness among citizens of the wide range of languages spoken in Europe (over 200), and to encourage people of all ages to learn languages.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Creative activity organized by the Czech Center in Rome and the Embassy of the Czech Republic

  • With Peter Pan between dreams and words <\/strong>– ages 6-11
    Creative bilingual reading activity organized by the Romanian Academy in Rome
    Hours: 11:00, 12:15, 3:15 p.m., 4:30 p.m.. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Let’s read Peter Pan <\/strong>– ages 6-11
    Irish language workshop dedicated to J.M. Barrie’s masterpiece, organized by the Embassy of Ireland in Italy
    Hours: 10:30, 11:15, 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m.; 4:30.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Multiple languages for reading<\/strong> – ages 3-5
    In French and Spanish<\/em> – Meetings and readings for traveling between cultures: Peter Pan among shadows, pirates, and crocodiles, curated by UNINT \u2013 University of International Studies in Rome and NpL \u2013 Nati per Leggere

    In the outside area, there’s also a European Commission stand in Italy to get kids and adults interested in EU projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
