The event<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The European Union’s Fruit and Vegetables in Schools<\/strong> programme returns to Explora, the Children’s Museum in Rome, with a number of special days open to the public visiting the museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between April and May, there will be lots of activities for children, designed to introduce them to natural products, encourage them to eat them and stimulate their curiosity.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

For schools: 8, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 29 May 2025.
For families: from 22 to 30 April and from 1 to 4 May 2025, with tours at 10:00, 12:00, 15:00 and 17:00.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Healthy Escape: Fruit, Vegetables and Mysteries<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

An activity reserved for children aged 5 and over, offered during the visiting hours of the Fruit and Vegetables in Schools event. The activity includes skill games to test ingenuity and precision in an interactive 4-stage course. The course allows children to discover how many portions of fruit and vegetables we should eat every day and reveal the secrets hidden in the healthiest foods. To complete the mission, children must pass scientific tests and riddles, using special tools such as microscopes to explore the wonders of nature up close, small robotic bees to solve clever challenges, and litmus paper to discover the acidity of certain foods.
Age: <\/strong>5-11 years
How to participate: <\/strong>free access activity offered during all visiting hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Treasure Hunt<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A treasure hunt<\/strong> with 10 stations will also be set up in the green area, enriched with quizzes that deepen knowledge of fruit and vegetables. Participants will learn how to recognise a vegetable garden and discover how to achieve the recommended daily intake of fruit and vegetables, reflecting on the importance of eating natural products.

\u2018Fruit and vegetables in schools\u2019 is a programme promoted by the European Union, implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, and carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Merit, the Ministry of Health, Agea, ISMEA and the autonomous regions of Trento and Bolzano. The programme is aimed at children attending primary school (aged 6-11) and aims to increase the consumption of fruit and vegetables and raise awareness of the benefits of healthy eating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
